'Rivky' is a haunting experimental short film in which a filmmaker with Complex PTSD aims to better understand their childhood through newly discovered home videos. Like a dampened memory, the footage is severely abstracted. Minimalist animation and rotoscoping are overlaid, like a new perspective trying to make sense of a long gone experience. The sound from the original clips are distorted and accompanied by audio clips from other home videos and outside sources.

Rivky is the director's childhood nickname that attaches them to the past. The name has been retired.
